Meet David Friedberg: Riverside Hotel’s Director of Sales and Marketing with Over 40 Years of Industry Experience
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – November 5, 2026 – Riverside Hotel, located in the heart of Fort Lauderdale’s Las Olas Boulevard, is proud to recognize the extensive experience and leadership of its Director of Sales and Marketing, David Friedberg, a hospitality executive with more than 40 years of experience in hotel sales, marketing, revenue generation, and business development.
Throughout his career, Friedberg has held senior leadership positions with some of the hospitality industry's most recognized brands and properties, including Marriott Hotels & Resorts, The Waldorf Astoria Hotel and Towers, Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan, Kalahari Resort & Convention Center, and Bonaventure Resort & Spa.
In his current role at Riverside Hotel, Friedberg oversees strategic sales initiatives, marketing programs, revenue growth, and brand positioning. His leadership plays an important role in strengthening the hotel's presence in the competitive South Florida hospitality market while supporting its continued growth as an independent hotel on Las Olas Boulevard.

Among his notable career achievements, Friedberg conceived and developed The Golden Circle, a sales recognition program that was subsequently implemented across Marriott Hotels throughout North America, recognizing professionals in sales, catering, and revenue management.
His experience also includes successfully leading the launch of a $100 million luxury senior living community and directing pre-opening sales efforts for a major convention center expansion at the 900-room Kalahari Resort & Convention Center.
Friedberg holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management from Florida International University and is a Certified Toastmasters Communicator. A resident of Boca Raton, Florida, and father of two sons, he remains dedicated to developing successful teams, strengthening market positioning, and driving long-term business growth.
