Riverside Hotel Welcomes Steve Mulch as Catering Manager
Fort Lauderdale, FL – Riverside Hotel, a landmark property on Las Olas Boulevard since 1936, welcomes Steve Mulch as its new Catering Manager. Known for its iconic waterfront setting along the New River and longstanding role in the Fort Lauderdale community, Riverside Hotel continues to strengthen its catering and events team with experienced hospitality leadership.
Steve brings eight years of hospitality and event management experience across New York and South Florida. He began his career in hospitality after completing a four-month culinary program in New York City. Prior to entering the industry, he worked as an Actor’s Equity member, Operations Manager at Sesame Street, and a Home Textiles Design Director, developing a strong foundation in operations, production, and creative direction.
He continued his hospitality career at Baron’s Cove, where he advanced into leadership roles including Lead Host, Food & Beverage Manager, and Event Manager. He later served as Special Events Manager at 87 on Walker in Nolita, overseeing private events and venue operations.
In 2020, Steve relocated to South Florida and joined The Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale as Lead Host, gaining experience in luxury hotel service standards. He then spent four years as Food & Beverage Sales and Event Manager at Burlock Coast, where he managed catering sales, client relations, and event execution. He transitioned to Hyatt Centric Las Olas as Executive Meeting Manager and also served briefly at B Ocean Resort as Catering Sales Manager before joining Riverside Hotel.
As Catering Manager at Riverside Hotel, Steve will oversee catering sales, event planning coordination, and client experience for meetings, weddings, and social gatherings hosted throughout the property’s event spaces and on-site dining venues.
“I’m excited to join the team at Riverside Hotel and be part of such an established property on Las Olas,” said Mulch. “The hotel’s history and setting make it a unique place to host events, and I’m looking forward to working closely with clients and the team to deliver well-organized, thoughtful experiences.”
